Protect Your Precious Subfloors with Gym Flooring!

Gyms are places where heavy machines, dumbbells, and barbells are thrown about haphazardly. Consequently, when left unprotected, their subfloors quickly become the victims of heavy impacts and harsh abrasions. This is why we offer a generous assortment of gym flooring for both commercial and home gyms. While it is necessary to take care of your health, it is important to take care of your subfloors, too.

Our lines of gym-flooring products are your best bet when it comes to protecting your subfloors with an effective, stylish, and comforting surface. Rubber inherently has a high tensile strength and low compression set, which means that it can stretch to many times its original size without tearing and that it can handle heavy impacts without risking permanent indentation. Our gym floors—for the most part—are also made of recycled rubber materials. These types of rubber are made from post-consumer car tires, which typically end up in landfills. And because car tires are designed specifically to withstand the harshest road conditions, the resilient qualities that define car tires are ultimately transferred into our gym-flooring products. Thus, while giving your subfloors the best protection, you are also giving Earth’s environment a break from unnecessary waste.

Upgrading Your Stairway—One Step at a Time!

Every year, over 800,000 people are treated in emergency rooms for slip and fall accidents. Indeed, this figure is harrowing; but it is not hopeless. Rubber step-mats are a quick and easy solution for combating the slippery conditions that often plague residential, commercial, and industrial stairways. Naturally, rubber has a high coefficient of friction, which means that rubber enhances footing for anyone traversing the material. And considering that most shoe soles are made of rubber, rubber step-mats provide an amount of traction that transcends rubber’s coefficient of friction alone: rubber on rubber is one of the strongest interactions that generate friction.

All of our step mats feature corrugated surfaces—surface-patterns which, while being beautiful, further enhance the amount of traction afforded to the mats’ users. These patterns’ grooves and edges—altogether—increase the total surface area that each step mat possesses. As a result, these corrugations increase the number of points of contact between the stair treads and people’s feet. All told, rubber step-mats are the ultimate safety solution for slippery stairways, minimizing the chances that anyone will slip and fall while using your stairways. Plus, our stair treads are made of high-quality, all-weather rubbers—ensuring that your stairways will be safeguarded for years to come!

Home-Gym Essentials: Treadmill and Elliptical Mats

In 2021, the home-gym market was valued at 11.3 billions dollars. Experts hypothesize that, by 2030, the home-gym market’s valuation will grow to a staggering 17.3 billion dollars, which represents a 4.9% rate of annual growth between 2022 and 2030. While these numbers are indeed massive, they are not shocking. After all, it is clear that home gyms have become more and more prevalent throughout recent years. This is why we offer rubber mats specifically designed for certain home-gym appliances. Of these mats, two are the most popular: the treadmill mat and the elliptical mat.

The treadmill and elliptical mats are highly durable, shock-absorbent, and abrasion-resistant rubber mats designed for placement beneath your home’s treadmills and ellipticals. These mats are made of recycled rubber, a type of rubber sourced from discarded car tires. Because car tires are designed to withstand the harshest outdoor conditions, it should come as no surprise that these mats are imbued with the same characteristics that make tires so tough! Plus, because rubber absorbs vibrations, you can rest assured, knowing that your heavy gym equipment will not damage your expensive subfloors. This property of rubber also means that your mat will produce much less noise when in use, as the mat will dampen the vibrations that your equipment emits. Each of these mats comes in two different lengths—sizes which will accommodate almost every treadmill or elliptical available.

Keeping Your Home Clean and Your Entryway Stylish! accepts nothing but the best. Our doormats are the perfect representation of our commitment to offer our customers the best products at the best prices. Many of our doormats are made of coir, a fibrous material extracted from the husks of coconuts. Since coconuts—believe it or not—evolved to float across oceans, their husks are naturally equipped with all-weather properties. Thus, our coir doormats are impervious to moisture, sunlight, and other forms of weathering. And their stenciled designs remain bright and clear for long periods of time—a nod to our high-quality designs and sourcing. Moreover, they come reinforced with PVC or rubber backings, additions which enhance the longevity, as well as usability, of our doormats. These reinforcements trap moisture within the mat, making them very easy to clean. And they keep the doormats from sliding around as your guests traverse the mats.

For those who need larger doormats—such as for buildings with double-doored entryways—we offer many of our doormats in extended sizes. For those who often wear boots, we even offer beautiful boot-scrapers to accommodate their needs. And for a sleeker, more seamless aesthetic, we offer doormats exclusively made of rubber. Our rubber doormats function just as well as our coir doormats when it comes to protecting your building from unwanted contaminants. And they are water-resistant, all-weather, and easy to clean. We offer these variations of our doormats because our customers’ needs are our needs—a reflection the continuous attention we pay to our clientele. Browse our generous collection of doormats!

2023 National Hardware Show – Las Vegas, NV – Jan 31st–Feb 3rd
Rubber-Cal will exhibit at the 2023 National Hardware Show 9 (NHS) in Las Vegas, Nevada. Preeminent entities in the home-improvement, construction, and DIY sectors will be at this show to learn, educate, and collaborate: professionals attend the NHS every year to get the most up-to-date sourcing, trading, and news in their respective markets.

The NHS has a long history, rooted at the close of the Second World War in 1945. The NHS was established as an event for construction-industry professionals to network and showcase their latest wares. This event was such a success that it has been held every year since then. Now, there are countless exhibits on display on the Las Vegas Convention Center’s show-floor, highlighting innovations in building products, hardware tools, and outdoor-construction materials.

In 2023, the NHS will partner with NAHB International Builders’ Show® (IBS) and NKBA’s Kitchen & Bath Industry Show® (KBIS) at Design & Construction Week® at the Las Vegas Convention Center to offer even more buying, selling, and networking opportunities to the hardware and home-improvement communities. The NAHB IBS is the world’s largest annual residential-construction show and is a must-attend event for professionals in the building industry. IBS is produced by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), which represents over 140,000 members and is the voice for policies that prioritize housing.

This upcoming National Hardware Show will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from January 31st to February 3rd. Rubber-Cal encourages you to visit us at booth SL5105. For free passes into the show, please contact our sales staff prior to the event. Email us at
